Most of us are reluctant to believe that we are creative beings. Our perception is that only individuals who perform art like writing, painting, and pottery are creative. It’s just not true.
We are constantly creating, and now is the time to acknowledge this ability. We are all unique, and our perceptions help us see the world differently from another person. This difference is fuel for creativity.
Everyone is born creative, and that ability may go dormant, but it’s still there.
Maybe your brain is sleeping and waiting for you to wake up.
There are many opportunities to find innovative ways to handle a situation during our day.
Create is a verb which means you need to act on your creativity. Our creativity becomes fragile when we don’t acknowledge and move forward with our creative juices.

Areas You Can Apply Creativity
There are many opportunities to be innovative, and all efforts refresh us and add excitement to our lives.
Relationships – do you do the same thing with your partner or family members? Have you ever thought you would like to add more excitement or plan something different with your partner?
Maybe you want to change your style in interacting with certain people; can you find the time to brainstorm ideas to help you move forward with your intention?
Relationships are perfect places to flex your originality. Think of a small way to let the other person know you love them. It’s your unique brand of love.
Finances – You can manage your money by inventing ways to save it. On the other hand, maybe you need to find money to go on a trip or take a class; how can you move past “I don’t have the money” to “how I can find the money to do what I want?”
Create a financial vision board to house your goals, celebrate milestones, learn more about finances, and consciously use your money.
Careers – how often do you feel frustrated at work, how long it takes to handle a daily activity, or a co-worker you find irritating? These situations are perfect for your creative side to go to work.
Maybe you want to change careers and use the vision board to brainstorm and create potential areas to explore. Perhaps you need to use your resourceful nature to find solutions to your current work situation.
Home – cooking, cleaning, or decorating are all venues for our creative expression. Do you tend to view these activities as ordinary and not appreciate your unique way of creating a home?
Hobbies – we tend to accept hobbies as potentially falling under being creative. If you engage in a hobby, step back and reflect on how you feel when involved with your hobby. What makes your imagination active is your unique way of expressing yourself. Hobbies touch our passion and embrace our creativity.
Don’t downplay any activity that you are good at because it’s your unique brand of creativity. What areas do you feel express your creativity?
What does it take to be more creative: Curiosity.
Curiosity is a powerful way to add creativity to your life. You can ask if there is a different or better way to do this?
The excitement in our life comes from exercising our imagination. It doesn’t have to be a masterpiece; instead, we find solutions, in small ways, to make our lives easier. Once we start expanding our belief in ourselves, our confidence grows.
It’s our birthright to be creative.
